Who’d win in a fight heavy armored slow guys, heavy armored fast guys, or no armored crazy guys? If that question has ever came up with you and your friends well does For Honor not answer that at all. For Honor is the latest and newest IP from Ubisoft and I have to say they almost had a great game here. I’m getting to far ahead of myself I’m B-rod and I’m reviewing For Honor!! The game has a story mode that felt so tacked on that you almost could see the board members screaming, “WE NEED A STORY MODE. YOU SAW WHAT HAPPENED WHEN BATTLEFRONT DIDN’T HAVE ONE”. This to me is a prime example of a game that should be multiplayer only, but while I say that the story mode had some fun parts. The set pieces and some of the boss fights were fun as shit. The characters you play as… well two of them seem like they could’ve had an interesting story. You start with the Knight campaign where you are a knight who has been recruited into the Black Stone Legion. Which sounds like my Swedish metal band. You basically help the villain Apollyon start a war. A game with just this character could actually be interesting, but we have two more campaigns so eh fuck it. Then we have the Viking campaign which did fell like the eh fuck it campaign. I had no clue why you were doing anything, and quite honestly they seemed like they were just there. The game gave zero fucks about the Vikings they are sort of the worst faction to play as. Last you get the Samurai campaign where you play a disgraced samurai and you are hunting down the Black Stone Legion to put an end to them. This last campaign showed me that they really had two stories to tell, but had to cut them short to have the Vikings shoved in there. The story is a short 6-hour campaign that serves as a great tutorial to the actual game. The actual game is the multiplayer where it is a battle for dominance between three factions. Or honestly two because no one but me and like 6 people picked the Viking faction so were are just getting our asses kicked (the first week at least). Regardless you can battle other online foes or bots which are badasses compared to what you fight in story, but still stupid at times. I will say that if you don’t have the combat down to a T then you’ll be in trouble fast and only end up feeling super noobish. The combat is the best part of the game. It is the strategic blocking, counter attack system that is hard to describe except look at Game of Thrones on how they fight and you’ll get an idea. It really is something to marvel at, and I’d love to see it in a 40-hour RPG. In saying that it takes time to get used to, and online you can either get into these badass fights, or some dude spamming one button over and over cause it is nearly unblockable. You can customize the shit out of your warriors and gear if you really care about that shit. It can feel a bit free to playish because they want you to earn it by paying the iron price or with actual money can you buy fake money for better gear. (Boo indeed) Overall if you get the chance definitely rent this game to see if it is your cup of tea. It is something new and different from what we are used to and I appreciate that. Know this the game is made for online if you are a story kind of guy or have shit internet this game is not worth your time. I give this a 3/5 for the gameplay and just being a new IP I’m more lenient on it for that. Until next time brothers in arms go hack some limbs off.

Normally I start a review out with a on the spot joke that three people laugh at, but I need to say something that has been bugging me right now. If you hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare without playing based on whatever stupid reason you can justify in your head all I can say is shut the fuck up. So what if this isn’t the Call of Duty you wanted it is still an amazing game. Hello internet folks B-rod, and I must say Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is the best game since Black Ops 2. They put a shit load of work into this game to make it great. This is what sequels are supposed to be it takes the formula that we are used to and adds upon it to make it a new game. If you just want the same FPS experience then play the same fucking game, and let the rest of us play the new one that’ll add a new experience. The game story is fantastic it takes place in the year of the future ( I have no clue what year) and a war has broken out with the people living on Mars and the people of Earth. You play Generic White Man the 4th who is basically more seriously less wanting to bang everything Captian Kirk. You are going against evil Jon Snow. I joke because Kit Harington plays the villain, but even the mannerisms are like if Jon Snow was just a villain instead of righteous hero. Sadly Kit Harington is the least compelling character in this game, which is probably because he is hardly in it. My personal favorite character is the robot companion Ethan. In my last review I said how charming the Titan was in Titanfall 2. No. Fuck that Titan Ethan is where it is at. Ethan is a funny, sarcastic, hero. Ethan is if Han Solo was a droid instead of a scruffy looking nerf herder. The story can be played by plowing through just the story missions or you can do the variety of side mission which vary from space combat or boarding enemy vessel to blow it up from the inside. The game is very cinematic with each main story beat either having me scream “oh fuck” or just having me very engaged to what was happening on the screen. That’s great and all, but how’s the gameplay? The gameplay is Call of Duty in space; which we’ve seen already. What is new is the space combat the dog fighting is very enthralling probably because it is in space, but it is just super fun. The future tech is interesting I like that they added new guns that aren’t just machine gun, sniper, shotgun. You get a big ass gun that shoots a stream of laser that’ll eviscerate your enemy. It helps that it made me think of the weapons in District 9. For all you multiplayer fans I can’t say a damn thing to that because I just didn’t have time to cry for three hours. So maybe that is what everyone has a problem with I honestly don’t know. Overall I loved this game, and only wish Activision didn’t screw around with making the $80 bundle with Modern Warfare, because I think that put a bad taste in people’s mouth, and they didn’t need to do it because this is a solid game. I say if you are a fan of the Call of Duty story definitely check it out. To the nah sayers out there I say rent this game seriously give this a shot, because this is a solid entry I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did. I give this a 4.5/5 I couldn’t give it a perfect score only because I didn’t touch the multiplayer. We all clamor for mech games, who wouldn’t giant robots kicking the shit out of each other seems like every 14 year olds dream. Titanfall 2 takes it one step further with making your Titan a snarky Vulcan. Hello B-rod here and damn I wish I had a giant robot mech suit to follow me around and just be my buddy. I love how Respawn thought and said, “what if we made Call of Duty fast pace like Doom, and had mechs in it as well?” Here we have Titanfall. Thankfully Titanfall 1 didn’t do that well so maybe gaming companies realize customers still like having a single player experience no matter if it is short or long a good portion of people like a story. Now Titanfall 2 storyline isn’t deep. Honestly if it wasn’t for your Titan being as I put it a snarky Vulcan then the game's dialog wouldn’t even be that interesting. You play as Cooper a grunt who very early on becomes a Titan pilot because these group of mercenaries working for the fucking Empire (I forget what they villians are called it is basically Empire and Rebels) killed off your entire unit. The first half of the game you and your Titan are surviving and the second half you are fighting back. The overall plot honestly is like a Star Wars film where the Imperials get this weapon that can destroy planets, and you and the Rebels are going to stop them. Instead of a Vader it’s like if Boba Fett and the other bounty hunters were your main antagonist. Speaking of the mercenaries; while fairly generic they were some of the most interesting characters in the game… then again there weren’t many present honestly. The game is only 5-6 hours long with no real replay value which hurts it a lot for me. The story will be largely forgettable even with a bit of feels towards the end it is nothing to write home about. What is something to write home about is the gameplay. The game plays well like if Doom, Call of Duty, and Armor Core all had some sick threesome and this would be their unholy offspring. That might paint it in a bad light, but fuck this game is fun to play. The game if fast pace, with interesting different weapons. The movement with the jumping from wall to wall adds interesting jumping puzzles and combat. Weapons that make enemies blow up into a paste make me as giddy as a schoolgirl. That’s just the ground combat fighting in a Titan is extremely satisfying and more fun than it has any right to be. The boss fights are all different with adding a different layer of challenge to them. The game is very cinematic fitting to West and Zampella’s style of games they created in the past. All this saves their meh story and makes it a popcorn game if such a thing exist. The game looks good worthy of next gen, but nothing that make my socks leave my feet in a blowing motion. The voice acting is well this game is acted like a B movie except that damn Titan. They give that Titan funny lines, but also the most emotional ones in the game I loved that fucking thing. Overall if you never played the first one or even hated the first Titanfall I would still recommend that you give this a rental. For years people have been asking for more mech games; well now you have it so check it out at the very least. I give this game a solid 3.5/5 it was a fun experience that is well worth getting at a bargain rate. Unless you’re super into the multiplayer there is no real reason to play this game more than once. Until next time folk I’m B-rod and I’m gonna go play more mech Vulcan. UGH!! It’s time for another WW2 FPS that we’ve played a 1000 times. Will this have D-day in it? Wait… This isn’t WW2 but takes place in World War 1! Fuck yes I’m in. Hello everyone B-rod here again to talk about the latest Battlefield. EA has said enough of this modern war, and you guys didn’t buy enough copies when we did future war so let’s do a war that is hardly ever covered in the media World War 1. If you’re like me a love history knowing the historical facts about how truly brutal and terrifying trench warfare is would make you super excited before this game came out. Sadly you can’t really make sitting in a trench for weeks into a game, but what they did came out fantastic. The game actually has a story, unlike typical FPS stories where you follow one character who somehow is at every important battle in history you follow five different characters all from different countries, all different styles of gameplay. You follow the British tank crew, an American pilot, an Italian soldier who plays like a walking tank, a Australian sharpshooter, and a Syrian I believe that is hanging with Lawrence of Arabia. This stories are great little snippits of the war and all play out as if you were watching a short film with these characters. The story isn’t super long, but because the stories are all so different in gameplay it acts as a tutorial to the multiplayer. That what everyone gets Battlefield for the the multiplayer and I must say holy shit is that fun. I personally love this multiplayer because it really captures the hecticness of war. There are times you are in firefight were bullets and explosions are happening all around you, and then out of the blue some crazy asshole on a horse comes charging at you, and you forgot to reload… This gameplay seems authentic enough to how battles were fought except the zero trench warfare. This is just me, but I do with there was either a story mission or a beginning of a multiplayer segment where you must jump out of the trenches and full on charge at the enemy encampment. Load in your pants dropping fun. The game only had a couple of hiccups in the multiplayer, and the vehicles never to seem to be overpowering, but if utilized correctly can be very dangerous. I personally had a great tank crew for over half a match we were the scourge of the battlefield. Until the enemy team had us outnumbered two to one in fire power, but it still was just the greatest experience having that badass tank crew that can mop the floor with the enemy team. The game looks beautiful, with the guns seeming authentic honestly with the decade of WW2 shooters I only know that era of guns, and not so much The Great War era of weaponry. Overall if you’re looking for a fantastic large scale multiplayer look no further than Battlefield 1. If though you’re a more single player focused gamer I’d honestly say skip even if you’re into historical games or were excited by the trailers. The singleplayer is so short that it acts more like a tutorial than an actual single player experience. I personally hope World War 1 turns into the new thing FPS shooters milk because I’d love to see what they can do with that era. Until next time folks. Gears of War is a bit like Star Wars in a sense it has a pretty damn good original trilogy with people arguing over the first or the second being the best in the series. The series thankfully has only one shitty prequel that somehow has the trappings of what made the originals good, but missing the point entirely. All this leads to one conclusion then. Gears of War 4 is the Force Awakens of the Gears of War series. It brings back the characters you love with adding new likeable fun characters as replacements. Has a new yet in a way old familiar enemy, and is all about you getting reintroduced into the world of Gears. I know a hell of an intro to get into this review, but anyways B-rod here, and I love the shit out of Gears of War 4. When I first saw this game I thought, “oh great they are going to milk Gears of War for all it’s worth.” I was right technically, but the team at The Coalition took some time and care into making this game, and made it a fun experience. The game’s story is about Marcus Fenix’s son James Fenix and his two squad/friends embarking on a mission to find out what happened to their village which was attacked by these unknown creatures. The mystery is not deep but engaging, but what really sold this game to me was the characters. James, Kait, and Del they were charming, funny and just overall characters you wanted to follow. I like Marcus Fenix, but he was always a cardboard cutout Conan type character. James is a funny likeable rogue who you’d want to follow long after the game is over. I can’t tell you how much I dug this story and character especially since I thought this game would be just another Judgement fail. The gameplay is exactly what sequels are supposed to be. It keeps the core gameplay the same, and just adds upon it. It doesn’t retool how the gameplay works making it less fun entirely Gears of War Judgement. (I’m JUDGING the hell out of that game right now). Adding in the weather as a hazard while you fight is such a kickass obstacle that I honestly never knew I needed. The worst part of this game is the beginning where the first two act of the game you’re fighting robots. These fucking things are not only boring to kill, but are bullet sponges to the point of annoyance. Once you fight the real enemy of the game which are called the Swarm that’s where you get into that good ole Gears we know and love. Even the Swarm have creatures that are interesting to fight and keep you on your toes. They force you not to just sit there shooting at them with your Lancer until they explode. It sorta felt like a fight in Bloodborne with how often you were forced to dodge and shoot. The game looks like a Gears game. It’s the best looking by far, but nothing that is unfamiliar as it were. Overall if you never played a Gears of War game before I wouldn’t recommend it because I feel like you’d be missing something that the typical Gears player would see. If you are a Gears fan, but were turned off by Judgement by all means get this game it is my favorite of the games since Gears of War 2 came out. I did not expect to love this as much as I did and I have to give it 4.5/5. If it wasn’t for that first two acts fighting nothing but robots I would’ve gave it a perfect score. Until next time folks. Do you like the Punisher? Have you ever thought what if he was in the 70’s and black? If you answered yes to either of those then I have a game for you. Aloha B-rod here trying to get back into reviewing stuff so I’m writing and releasing a bunch of reviews of the games I played the last two months and I must start with Mafia 3. This was probably my most anticipated game this year, and oh boy sticking to 2016 feels it was a disappointment. The game's story is great and simple. It is a revenge story through and through. It doesn’t get crazy and there aren’t any whoa it turns out you were crazy the whole time twist. I actually dug the shit out of this story it was fun and engaging, and like I said you were the fucking Punisher so the scenes where Lincoln (main character’s name) is slow walking to a mobster while he is begging, “man I had nothin to do with what happened”; that could give a nun a murder boner. Sadly, what kills the story is the fact the game is padded out with you taking over district by district just to progress. This isn’t new to video games Assassin’s Creed is a game that has this mechanic, but in Assassin’s Creed THE WHOLE THING IS OPTIONAL. This is the second game this year that had things that are optional in most games, but mandatory in theirs. Look if I want to go after the booze ring and blow up each wearhouse doing the same goddamn thing over and over I should be able to, and even be rewarded for doing so. Making this mandatory to finish the game is just padding the shit out. I don’t need my game to be 15-20 hours 8 hours is sometimes more fun if it makes the story flow nicer, and having variety. I can’t help but compare this to GTA V which did this concept better, longer, and made the side missions SIDE MISSIONS. I do want to talk about what I like in the gameplay. I love how the combat works it doesn’t fuck around. It is very cover orientated, but the AI is smart enough to maneuver you out from being in one place the whole time as well. The kills are brutal and bloody you feel like you’re there to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and you bought Juicey Fruit so the flavor didn’t last and you’re pissed. I also loved the soundtrack to this game you give me that 60s-70s music and I’m there. They have Rolling Stones, CCR, Jefferson Airplane, and Elvis Presley etc… The game also is beautiful as all hell especially in the pre-rendered cut scenes damn did they put some time into these graphics. Overall the game is not a bad game in fact if you don’t try and power through it like I did then all the tedious inbetween mandatory missions won’t be so bad. When I was murdering mobsters I had a smile from ear to ear it is murderlicious. The game’s story is fun, and makes the main character have the wallet that says BAMF on it. I give this a 4/5 it would’ve been perfect if it just was a tighter game. Alrighty one review down 4 more to go In 2012 we got Xcom Enemy Unknown which brought back turn based strategy on the console. I adored Enemy Unknown and pushed people to play the ever loving shit out of it. Xcom 2 takes what was good about the original Xcom and makes it difficult to the nth degree. The game has so much bullshit that occurs that it makes it more stressful than fun. I know there are some General S. Pattons out there that never lost a soldier, but I found myself constantly reloading after a plethora of swears exited my mouth. Hopefully I don’t spend this whole review bitching about this game because there are many positives, but the things that pissed me off just truly chapped my ass. The game’s premise is humanity has integrated with the aliens and you return as the Commander. You are leading the resistance to kick these alien bastards off of our planet. The story from there is basically make it up as you go along. Eventually you unlock story bits like them using humans as energy. (I wonder where they got that from?) But for the most part it is just the character talking in length on how important getting our planet back is. The gameplay is a squad based turned based strategy game. Those who don’t know think if Gears of War cover based game with the squad taking turns and missing half the fucking time. I’m going to try and get the positives out first before my negatives. The game is truly fun when you are in combat. When one of your soldiers takes out one of their alien snake fuckers then you just feel good. The customization of your soldiers is a stupid amount of fun. FYI do not make your friends then tell them you put them in the game, because when you tell them “oh you died in the game” you oddly are shammed more than you’d think. The classes for your troops are few but important you have sniper, engineer, heavy gunner, and assault. I do love that each class is a must for the mission you would fail fairly quick if you sent in a squad of snipers into battle. It is nice to have an diverse team. The game has a base build feature which was somehow more complicated than the first game. I never really knew what I needed to actually have. They leave it free form but a little handholding wouldn’t be a sin in my book. The game also has way too many counting clocks in it. Many missions you have so many turns until mission fail, or the story has this doom clock that is counting down to slow it down you must do main missions. The issue is the main missions are difficult for my troops to undertake so the game is constantly is me sending my guys out on this Dirty Dozen suicide mission. I sit there and tell my troops “most of you won’t make it out of this alive. I’m sorry, but I suck as a commander.” That is really my main issue with this game it starts you out nice and slow, but jacks the difficulty up so high you are just getting fucked in the ass constantly. Example of this the have these enemies who can clone themselves, turn off your weapons (forces you to have to reload), and teleport. That is an overpowered enemy, and they are a common foe. Sadly I know my issues with the game stem more off my lack of skill then the game itself. I just found the game barrier of entry higher than the first which ended up hindering my enjoyment of it. I didn’t hate the game as much as I wanted to. I give it a 3/5. I feel like if you are a badass strategist and bent the first game over and made it your bitch then get this game. If you just enjoyed the game or are curious about this one I say rental for sure. It is worth checking out. I only wish it was amazing, and a bit more mainstream so we can get a few more turn based strategy games. Well folks this is B-rod saying if aliens come to Earth do not put me in charge of the resistance. Hello internets like Deus Ex Mankind Divided B-rod here back in the saddle again to review a game. Deus Ex series is for a special kind of gamer, one that is into heavy science fiction, lots of complicated dialog, and one that loves crawling through man-sized vents. I am new to this series the games always eluded my radar one way or another I always managed to just miss them. I will say being missed out on Human Revolution so much of the background to this game made little to no sense. Now they explain it in this 15 minute Spark Notes version of what happened. Yet… somehow with Adam Jensen’s monotone voice describing everything that happened my eyes kind of glossed over and I was day dreaming. Honestly if someone can describe what happened in the first game I’d love it. I digress. Deus Ex Mankind Divided takes place in a world where people are augmented and the normal humans hate the shit out of them. I think is a kick ass concept that hits a bit close to home with all that is happening. You are Adam Jensen an augmented badass who sounds like he smoked 150 packs of cigarettes because someone dared him to. This new terrorist group of augmented people are out there, and they happen to do the terrorist thing of blowing shit up. It is up to Adam Jensen to solve the mystery any way he can. Which leads into some interesting twist and turns, and ends kind of abruptly. I was having fun then boom game winning trophy winner is me. The game allows you to play three different ways, but only one ever worked for me. You can play completely stealthy saving after every room and meticulously looking for any short-cut you can take. Or you can play balls to the wall killing spree, and pray that the guy you killed has enough bullets so you aren’t completely fucked by the next room. Last, which is what I played you can do a mix of both being all sneaky like until you are seen then balls to the wall. The game never punishes you for killing people which is super great because killing is just amazing in video games. I took out almost an entire police station to steal some evidence, and I’m still the hero. Remember kids killing cops is okay only if you really need to steal from them. The leveling up is complicated at first, but makes way more sense as time goes on. The final thing I can say is fuck this final boss. They are such a pain in the ass if you are like me and suck ass at stealth. It took me multiple tries to take out the asshole, and honestly I’m fairly sure I took him out by accident. Just to warn you. Overall the game looks great and plays like very few shooters on the market. I will say if you are looking for something different then the Call of Duty formula this is your game. It is a dense fiction heavy story telling RPG that doesn’t disappoint that lets you play as you want. I enjoyed the hell out of this game with no prior engagement to the previous games so new comers are welcome. Maybe wiki some of the backstory details. I give this a 4.5/5. If someone a year ago asked me my favorite Borderlands game I would say Borderlands 2. That is not the case anymore Tales from the Borderlands is without a doubt my favorite in the Borderlands game, and it isn’t even technically a Borderlands game. Telltale has done it again with this spin off game about non-badass characters surviving in the world of Borderlands. Unlike the rest of their games that are grim and dark this keeps the Borderlands feel like dark humor, weird humor, and well just being funny as hell. I haven’t gushed about a Telltale game in sometime so I apologies in advance for this review. The games story is mainly a flashback story from the point of view of two characters Rhys and Fiona. Rhys is a company man from Hyperion who is trying to basically become the big guy on top by finding a vault. Fiona is a con artist who ends up teaming up with Rhys in a search for treasure. They of course have a cascade of characters like Sasha who is Fiona’s sister, to Vaughn who is Rhys’s best friend. Or douche villain Vasquez who is hunting Rhys voiced by Patrick Warburton. The games story is so frigging great I am afraid to give any details on any specifics because it is something you must experience for yourself. I will say there are many cameos that happened and the story does take place after the events of Borderlands 2 which is very significant. Oddly I tried to get what I could of an evil ending by making character choices that were clearing in the wrong and still ended up with a happy ending. So that basically means Telltale hasn’t changed in the choices department. You can make choices but regardless what you choose you will still end up in the same place. I will say some characters won’t make it based on your choices so that is a plus from typical Telltale style where if someone was going to die you could only delay it and not prevent it. The story is the only reason to play this game and each episode leaving you with this must play feeling. It is the only way I could play these episodic games, because being forced to wait another five months for the next episode would be excruciating. The games graphics are an interesting mix between Borderlands and Telltale. It is hard to explain but if you have played both then you’d understand the graphics I’m talking about. Basically the characters are more Telltale than Borderlands but the colors and shading are Borderlands like. The games music is some amazing work. Each song isn’t an original song but fits so well. I know the song Kiss the Sky by Shawn Lee is one of my favorite songs in this. The voice acting of course is amazing with big time professionals like Troy Baker, Nolan North, and previously mentioned Patrick Warburton. The game plays exactly like any other Telltale game. It is an adventure like game covered in timed story choices and quick time events almost impossible to lose. The one issue I really have with this games and it is a big one is the fact there is no replicability to them. Telltale games are all great the first time you play them, but once you know the outcome of your choices it is less of an impact and I personally lose interest with them. For the price they are these games are great for a one and done deal. Overall while the game has been out for a while if you are like me and love playing an entire story all at once definitely get this game it is well worth playing. Only if you know that this is a story driven game with limited gameplay, it is only six hours long, and if you can rent it you should because it is a one and done kind of game. I loved this game and think about the story and outcomes since I beat it three days ago. Before I give a rating I have to say it is only $20 for this experience so if you can’t rent it then buy it because this is so worth the money for the experience you get from it. I give it a 4.5/5. Well gamers Brandon (yeah third person) would love to hear your thoughts on this game as well. What did you think? Put it in the comments below and I’d love to chat about it. Until next time. You’re a wizard Harry, but not The Dragon you seriously don’t want to be The Dragon. Why? Because that would mean you are associated with Lichdom Battlemage, and you want to avoid that like the fucking plague or those Nazgul fuckers from the Harry Potter movies. Hello everyone Brandon here with what quite possibly might be the worst game I’ve played all year. Now I must say this is the console version only I hear decent things about the PC version of Lichdom Battlemage, but Xbox One version can lick my taint. I was thinking 2016 was being a decent year not too many great games so far, but from what I played no piles of shit either. Until now. Let’s see how making you an overpowered mage with fire, ice and psychic powers can be even close to being a piss poor game. The story is of course generic as all hell. You are The Dragon which is a mage who can shoot fire from his hands and it is your job to free the land from this darkness that has been oppressed by this dark magic. Not personal enough for the players? Let the main characters wife/girlfriend get killed and now you have to go out on revenge. Well not only is it cliché to find out you are some “chosen one”, but you need revenge on the mustache twirling bad guy as well. The game doesn’t have a deep nor interesting story in the slightest. It seemed like a bit later in the game they were trying to maybe build it more into an epic, but good Christ I couldn’t care less if what happened to anyone in this game. The story is about as interesting and almost the same one as Arcania Gothic 4 which I reviewed last year and hated that just as bad. The game looks God awful, and with this being a delayed game I’d love to know how. Seriously how the hell do you make an Xbox One game look as if it was an Original Xbox game? I’m not being internet hyperbolic this game looks like a blocky mess, and it is so dark on my bright ass TV I think they did that to hide the shitty textures. The game doesn’t stop there they said, “Jim we made the game look like ass how can we make it sound like shit as well?” Well they came up with that solution by shitty voice acting. I think they got the original Resident Evil actors and told them to just try and sound witty. All of this might make for at least a mediocre game if the gameplay was at least fun. Sadly it is boring and a bit confusing. So it is a first person mage game, or the slowest FPS you’ve ever played. Imagine if you played Skyrim in first person and could only use magic spells. Now take away 75% of the spells you’d get in Skyrim, and then make them barely usable. Sounds fun? They kept telling me I could mix spells and make them more powerful, but for the life of me I couldn’t do anything of the sort. I think I leveled up my magic, but I never noticed a difference. Say if you wanted to freeze an enemy with ice then hit him with a fire ball. Well switching between spells is so slow by the time the fireball is ready the enemy is already free. Basically I ended up just sticking with the fire power because it seemed like the only power that did a fucking thing. I do admit with my go, go attitude when it comes to tutorials in games I may have missed something, but it is up to the game to at least make the basics of what the game is up front. So if all that isn’t enough the games frame rate is shit. It is a jittery mess, and this is noticeable to me a guy who couldn’t tell 30 frames per second to 60. Then the icing on the cake is generic enemies that range from brown blobby cultist (remember bad graphics) to skeletons. I know skeletons oh lord they must’ve been up all night thinking of that starting enemy. I didn’t finish the game so I can say how long it was, but damn I just don’t have time to put into playing shit damn unplayable games. So I know by now you are definitely wondering the score, right? Ha. Let me say if you see this at a garage sale and they will sell it to you for a quarter. You call them a snake oil salesman and go buy yourself a gumball you earned that gumball by avoiding this sack of shit game. I had a frown the entire time playing this game. I give it a 0/5. Fuck this game, and fuck whoever decided that this was a finished product. Hey a lot of anger was in the ending of this, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on this game.
