The Walking Dead Review
Finally! I finally got around to beating Tale Tales The Walking Dead, and I have to say damn, damn, damn. This game is awesome I know I won't be saying anything that you haven't already heard before but this game proves that story can beat gameplay any day of the week. I am in that camp I would rather play a game with an amazing story with meh controls, than a game with great gameplay but lame ass story. This game doesn't always have the best control scheme but it works to get you to the next bit of story. Sadly when you find out the game doesn't actually give you a choice on what happens it loses some of it's luster. A wise man said that this game gives you the elusion of choice and I completely agree with that. Folks in this game if someone is meant to die they are going to die one way or another. I personally think that is a pretty shitty thing but it doesn't affect the story at all. This game was able to almost make me cry with the relationship between the character, it can be a real downer. This is the best zombie game out there and I believe it really captures one of the zombie apocalypse scenarios that we would love to see. It is an adventure game so people who only want fast gameplay and the hell with story avoid this game at all cost cause you will more than likely hate it. To the rest of you who are in my shoes and didn't jump on this game last year I got it for eight dollar and it was well worth the price. I give this 4.5-out of 5 the only reason this isn't a perfect game to me is because it didn't have the best gameplay mechanics.
