MINECRAFT (XBOX 360 EDITION)
Anyway, Minecraft Xbox 360 edition is'nt very new, in fact its been out for months. For those who are not familiar with the Minecraft universe, let me inject some knowledge into your veins. This game is NOT meant to look next gen, or completely rendered, because then it would be extremely disappointing. This title is for the people who enjoy building things, or someone who wants a retro throwback to the 8-bit arcade days.
Starting out in a field you have no tools, no armor, and no home, but there is good news! You inherit all the powers of Chuck Norris (besides swimming through land). You can literally punch down a tree with your bare hands and harvest logs. Generally there are some trees around you to start the game, if there isn't then God hates you. Those hands are made for workin' though. You can get blocks of dirt, sand, stone, gravel and even beat animals or monsters to
death with them.
The Xbox Edition has 2 modes (computer has 3), Creative mode and Survival. In creative mode you are Jesus the Carpenter. You can fly, run really
fast, and summon every block known to 8-bit man out of your extremely deep pocketed pants. I myself have made extensive creations and various large buildings in Jesus mode. For the builder oriented crowd this game is freaking perfect. It mimics a Auto CAD program and an architecture program (without curves of course). You can place blocks where ever, make beautiful creations, hell you can build anything really.
Survival is quite a bit different, remember that field? That will become your worst enemy at night. Monsters spawn at night and attack you. Oh and guess what? If you get killed before you sleep in a bed you spawn right back in the starting spot. Adventuring wasted! Your best option is to look at the pretty
blocks some other time and build a shelter for yourself. Punch the hell out of some trees, raid a village, the game doesn't care, just get inside and stay
until it's light again. Killing monsters (MOBS) is easy depending on the monster. The main monsters are Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, Spiders, and
Endermen. Zombies, Skeletons and Spiders are fairly easy to kill, the Creepers and Endermen though, they SUCK TO KILL. Creepers explode once they get close enough to you so that's a little rough to get around and Endermen teleport once you hit them, then come back and beat you to death.
In my opinion this game was MADE for multiplayer, because the fun level just gets higher and higher when you ride a pig off a cliff with your buddies. Don't be a loner, play with friends. The only thing that's disappointing about this game is how long it takes for updates, but it's getting there!
