BATMAN BEGINS - WRITTEN MOVIE REVIEW
It is time for your movie, video game playing friend to talk about not only one of his favorite trilogies out there but one of his favorite comic characters out there. I am talking about mother fucking Batman. I shall only talk about Batman Begins which is one of the best origin stories for a hero since, well ever really. This is something that amazes me how in the movies we never saw Batman's origins we always saw the parents dying and then Bruce is
Batman. We never see him receive the training or build the cave it's always little kid with no parents and Batman.
This origins story is just fantastic and it changes up the lore of Batman in a fantastic way. I love how this first of all this movie is dark it never tries to be funny in the slightest. This movie also mixes up the lore saying Batman was trained by Ra's al Ghul who has no immortal powers in this but he is still a kick ass villain. They also have the Scarecrow in this movie who is played by Cillian Murphy he does a good job as the Scarecrow I just didn't care for this adaptation of him. If you ever want to know what version of the Scarecrow I love play Arkham Asylum and you shall see. This movie shows why Batman does what he does and why he does not believe in killing. It still has that comic book feel it isn't completely gritty but I think that it is still more serious than the Tim Burton Batman's ever dreamed on being.
This movie is directed by everyone's favorite director Christopher Nolan, I say everyone's but he is also mine. I've only seen a fewof his movies the Batman's, Memento, and Inception, and I loved every single one of them. The man brought Batman back, I am about to make some enemies here but I am going to say it anyways. I don't like any and I mean any Batman movies before this one. They all made Batman into a shitty comic feel good movie, they are all the worst thing to happen to his character. If you disagree with me that is fine but don't try and justify and convince me that I am wrong because I am not. The casting in this movie was perfect I know everyone gives ChristianBale shit for his gravelly voice you know the one people say they can't understand. This movie it wasn't bad at all, I also think that Michael Cain as Alfred was the best choice one could ever make. He is the perfect Alfred with wit, and charm, but also showing how is like a father to Bruce. Liam Neeson as his mentor was great I only wish he had more a role in the second half of the film.
I know a lot of people who don't care for this movie; hell at first I didn't like this movie either, but watching it again it smacked me on the face and said are you fucking stupid. Is this the weaker of the trilogy? I say yes it is only because it is an origins story which means they have to reestablish the character of Batman. If you aren't a fan of these films I am not going to call you out and say you're retarded or just don't get it. If youdon't like them you don't like them. If you are a huge fan like me let me know what you think of the first of the Nolan Batman movies. I give this a good fun enthusiastic B.
